hi, we're in our 40's & we've been married for 12 years. i knew my husband was a recovering addict when we married (so am I since 1984). 2 years ago my husband started using meth. he's been through treatment a few times before that for (crack), we've always managed to work through it and pick up the pieces. the crack was bad but the meth is insanity.

I sometimes feel like I don't know the person sitting next to me, he's a changed person and it hurts so much to see him destroying himself and our family. Sometimes he tells me he sees what it's doing to us - other times he's so wrapped up in his own world that he just see anthing but what he's obesessing on at that moment.

I don't understand why the health officials don't see what's happening out there - not just to the youth on the streets but to the homeless adults & families/ moms & dads who are getting addicted to meth because it's cheap and easy to get. I feel alone because all of the "help" out there is directed to the young people who are getting into it. We All Need Help - Don't they see that by ignoring the addicted parents that the disease will just continue into the next generation? Sorry for taking up so much space I'll keep you all in my prayers - thanks for letting me get this out of my head.
