i first tried meth when i was 14, i had no clue what it was. The second time i tried it i was really into it, so i did some research on it and really got to know about it. I started to use it regularly pretty soon after. i chose to use meth because of the weight loss, confidence and social group it provided for me. Then i became addicted, i was in denial for a good three years before i accepted i had a problem.

i was fine with being an addict as long as i had meth, so the first two attempts to quit were to try and please my family and try to regain a few friends i had been losing. after slipping under again for the second time i fell into despair, i became depressed- no matter how high i got and i was faking every smile and every laugh, i didnt want this anymore.

I wanted to be me, i felt like i was being influenced by some evil spiritual source, it was taking over and i was losing me. i decided to go to a therapist and i succeeded in to going once a week for nearly 6 months (with the push and support of my mom) finally i developed the understanding, the strength and the courage to do it, to change my life, to be free.

I was on the wait list at Peak House- a treatment center for youth out in vancouver- and i got the call. I got the call at the begining of august and the date was for septemeber 21st... so i was scared at first but i figured well now i can really go all out and get high...then i will be leaving. but about one week after that, i broke down , i told my parents I NEED to go NOW... so 2 days later i left to stay with my grandparent for a few weeks before i went into treatment.

i got in on september 13 2005. I turned 19 on november 8th 2005, i left peak house on november 22 2005- with a full commencement and completion of the program. i am almost 5 months free!!!!
