Very likely, but there would likely be other evidence as well. Please read the following re signs of meth use and health hazards in moving into a home where meth has been cooked.
Red stains and toxic residue are commonly found on discarded coffee filters and on walls and cabinets, etc. Perhaps you could call a meth clean-up crew in your area and ask them.( fireman or first responders.)
The National Jewish Health study on meth was the first to re--create a meth lab to train police and haz-mat crews and apparently red stains were produced from the red phosphourus, red devil lye and iodine crystals.
"Two "proof" ingredients that identify these Labs are the red phosphorus and iodine used in the manufacturing process. These two elements are critical to the production of methamphetamines and are typically found in the residue of coffee filters – or in the colorful stains on the walls and rags where open container vaporization or "cooking" have occurred. It is also noted that contamination to carpeted areas occurred by tracking the chemicals throughout the house from the kitchen or "cook."
